How to play Dot Weaver
Every puzzle is a board of empty squares and a few coloured dots. Drag from a dot and lay a pipe, one square at a time, until you reach the other dot of that colour. Pipes cannot cross, except on a bridge. If you draw across a pipe that is already there, you cut it and that colour lifts off the board.
The puzzle is solved when every pair is joined and every square is part of a pipe. A square left blank is not a win, even if all the colours are connected.
Levels, stones and bridges
There are 156 puzzles in 13 packs of 12, each checked to have exactly one solution. They start at 5 by 5 and grow to 10 by 10, and solving four in a pack opens the next. Seven of the packs add a twist. A stone blocks its square: no pipe can pass through it, and it does not need filling. On a bridge, one pipe runs straight across and another runs straight under, and both lanes must be used before the board counts as full.
A move is counted when you touch a new colour. Finish in few moves for more stars. Undo and reset are free.
Tips and tricks
- Join the colours that sit in a corner first. They have fewer ways out.
- If two pipes would have to cross where there is no bridge, one of them is in the wrong corridor. Cut it and try the other side.
- Count the empty squares. A finished board has none.
FAQ
Is Dot Weaver free?
Yes. It is free to play in your browser, with no download and no account.
Can I play on a phone or tablet?
Yes. Drag from dot to dot with a finger. The board scales to the screen.
Can pipes cross?
Only on a bridge, where one pipe goes across and one goes under. Anywhere else, drawing over an existing pipe cuts that pipe instead of jumping it.
Is my progress saved?
Your cleared puzzles and stars are saved in your browser on this device, and a puzzle you leave half-finished is still there when you come back.
